The part of Muslim women's clothing that is often debated is the head covering or veiling. The debate whether the wearing of head coverings for Muslim women is an Islamic obligation or a tradition of the Arab nation in the early twentieth century has shown that Muslim society was seeking an Indonesian Muslim identity. The debate continued in the second phase after Indonesia's independence. Therefore, this article intends to see how the development of the debate occurred and what issues arose and how the Muslim community in general responded. The method used in this paper is the method of content and argument analysis through literature search. Based on this study, it can be concluded that the debate over the use of head coverings in the second period has turned into an issue of Islamic politics where the head covering is used as a symbol of Islamic political struggle which was also influenced by the development of Islamic politics in other Islamic countries.
2023-06-26T06:32:22+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ejournal.stainkepri.ac.id/index.php/perada/article/view/823ENKULTURASI BUDAYA UNSUR PETINGGI ADAT MINANGKABAU TALI TIGO SAPILIN DI SUMATERA BARAT2023-06-26T17:53:25+00:00Ismail Ismailismailnovel68@gmail.comDahyul Daipondahyuldaipon@uinbukittinggi.ac.idMuhiddinur Kamalmuhiddinurkamal@gmail.comMuhamad Rezirezineddin@gmail.com
As a tourist destination, West Sumatra will certainly interact directly with foreign cultures. This article uses a qualitative type virtual ethnographic method and literature review in obtaining main data derived from the search results, collection, and processing of sixty reputable national and international scientific journals, general and religious-based online news websites, to social media platforms. Digital media has become a battle arena that legitimizes narratives of the politicization of religion and identity politics which ultimately lead to social turmoil with political and religious nuances so that a series of strategies are needed by the government, religious leaders, and a plural society that are concerned about these conditions in moderating the digital world and digitalization-based cross-cultural religious literacy in the form of positive-inclusive content that is massive and has a large flow so that it exalts the political narrative of humanity which becomes the spirit of politics until finally a soothing social and digital media climate is created without any negative tendencies that become seeds of discrimination and conflict when elections come.
2023-06-26T06:45:03+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ejournal.stainkepri.ac.id/index.php/perada/article/view/877DEFRAGMENTASI BUDAYA POLITIK ARISTOKRAT MELAYU: STUDI TERHADAP MANUSKRIP SEJARAH PALEMBANG2023-06-26T17:52:10+00:00Komaruddin Komaruddinkomaruddin_uin@radenfatah.ac.idAhmad Syukriahmadsyukri@radenfatah.ac.id
2023-06-28T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ejournal.stainkepri.ac.id/index.php/perada/article/view/860POLITICAL DYNAMICS OF MALAY ISLAM: A CONCEPTUAL-HISTORICAL STUDY2023-08-04T01:28:28+00:00Arditya Prayogiarditya.prayogi@iainpekalongan.ac.idSinggih Setiawansinggih.setiawan@uingusdur.ac.idJilma Dewi Ayu Ningtyasjilma.dewi.an@uingusdur.ac.id
Historically-politically, Islam has become part of the traditional Malay states (palities). The Islamic-Malay relationship is manifested in a political conception of the legitimacy of the kingdom/sultanate, especially referring to the sultanate of Malacca. Since the time of the Malacca sultanate, the role of Islam has become something that cannot even be contested. Politically, Islam has become a unifying factor for the Malays. In short, the Islamic discourse has penetrated and embedded itself into the identity of the Malay community so that it also gave rise to the political variant of Malay Islam. The article aims to describe the political conception of Malay Islam starting from its background, political relations between Islam and Malays, to the dynamics and political concepts adopted by the Malay (Islam) community. This article was written using a qualitative approach based on a literature review using descriptive analytical techniques. This article shows that there is a close natural relationship between Islamic and Malay political identity. The journey of Malay-Islamic political relations which began during the Islamic sultanate continued to be dynamic until the colonialism and revivalism period which marked the change in Malay cultural identity through identity politics with the nation state channel. Malay which originally meant race/ethnicity was then delimited by regional boundaries which made it impossible for the emergence of a pan-Malay political identity.
2023-06-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ejournal.stainkepri.ac.id/index.php/perada/article/view/968AGAMA DAN MAKNA SOSIAL EKONOMI DAN POLITIKNYA2023-08-04T01:35:43+00:00delmus puneri salimdelmus.salim@gmail.com
Agama merupakan way of life bagi umat Islam.
2023-06-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ejournal.stainkepri.ac.id/index.php/perada/article/view/881KONTEKSTUALISASI MAKNA IBNU SABIL DALAM AL-QUR’AN DI ERA MODERN-KONTEMPORER2023-08-28T02:00:16+00:00Kusroni Kusronikusroni0904@gmail.comShiela Al-Maulidiashiela.am@gmail.comMas'ud Abdillahmasud.abdillah@gmail.com
The premodern context places classical commentators on a single interpretation of the term ibn sabil in the Qur'an. They only interpret ibn sabil as a traveler (musafir) who has run out of supplies. This limited meaning can no longer be maintained, because the social, economic, and political context in the modern-contemporary era has changed. This research seeks to contextualize the verses of ibnu sabil in the Qur'an in the modern-contemporary era. This research is a qualitative type by utilizing library data collected through the maudhu'i method, with a focus on verses that offend ibn sabil. Meanwhile, Abdullah Saeed's contextual approach is used as an analytical tool. This research compiles eight verses about ibnu sabil in the Qur'an which are spread over seven surahs, consisting of two makkiyah surahs and six madaniyyah. The finding is that the verses of ibn sabil are included in the second hierarchy of values, namely fundamental values. Contextualization of ibn sabil's verses in the modern-contemporary era places ibn sabil in a broader meaning than just travelers, as in premodern interpretations. Ibnu sabil currently includes “anak jalanan” and those who do not have a permanent residence (homeless). Therefore, zakat management institutions, both from the private sector and the government, should be able to expand the scope of zakat recipients (mustahik) from the ibnu sabil cluster, as found in this study.
2023-06-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
